Keep your surface safe

Prevent Patina Wipe away any liquid spills and splashes. The surface should always be kept dry
Dark Surfaces Patina and stains may be more noticeable. Cream-colored cleaning products are not recommended
Heat Caution Always place hot cookware on trivet and hot pads
Avoiding Scratches Always use cutting board and clear away sharp objects
Chemicals Prolonged exposure may damage the surface. Chemicals with high or low pH levels should be used with caution.
Removing Stains Gently rub with an approved cleaner and rinse

Step-by-Step Care

Everyday Cleaning

Wipe the surface with a soft cloth or a non-abrasive scourer dipped in warm water mixed with a mild detergent. Rinse with water, and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Always wipe up wet spills, to prevent patina from forming.
Check each cleaning product first on an inconspicuous area to ensure that it doesn't damage the surface. Patina build up may look like a light colored stain.
Please note that Natural, Honed, Concrete and Rough finishes require more cleaning than our Polished finishes. Since there is more exposed surface area with these finishes, metal marks, fingerprints and other signs of daily living will show. Most of these marks can be removed with little effort and non-abrasive cleaning products such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel.

Stubborn Stains

Gently rub the area using a soft cloth or paper towel with an approved cleaner (see Recommended Cleaning Products )
Clean a larger area rather than the stain itself, in a circular motion.
Rinse with water, and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Repeat this process, if the stain is still visible.

Dried Spills

Dried spills and stains should be reanimated with water for several minutes before attempting recommended cleaning methods.
Clean the surface with a damp cloth or paper towel.

Rust & Metal Marks

Place a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend® Cleanser (powder) or oxalic acid on a damp cloth. Do not use an abrasive scourer.
Wipe away very gently, in a circular motion.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water, and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Follow these instructions carefully to avoid damaging the surface.

Most of the marks can be removed with little effort and non-abrasive cleaning products, such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel.

Cleaning for Honed, Concrete and Rough Finishes

Please note that Honed, Concrete and Rough finishes require more cleaning than our Polished finishes. Since there is more exposed surface area with these finishes, metal marks, fingerprints and other signs of daily living will show. Most of these marks can be removed with little effort and non-abrasive cleaning products such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel.

Which cleaning products are good for quartz?

Use recommended cleaning products and check the product first by applying it to an inconspicuous area on the surface. It's best to avoid using the same cloth you use for washing dishes, as it may transfer oils and other contaminants to your surface.

Cleaning products that should not be used, include oven grill cleaners, floor strippers, toilet bowl cleaners, oil soaps, tarnish removers, furniture cleaners, drain products, wipes and cleaners specific to granite, marble and other natural stones, etc. Should your surface accidentally be exposed to any potentially damaging products, rinse immediately with water to neutralize the effect.

Are quartz surfaces hygienic?

Your quartz surface is engineered to be highly nonporous, and as such it is non-absorbent, and does not host bacteria, mold, or mildew, remains safe and fresh for ultimate cleanliness.

What products to avoid in protecting quartz?

Avoid strong chemicals and solvents, and strong acids or alkalis, oxidizers or similar materials, regardless of pH.
Avoid harsh cleaning products such as: oven/grill cleaners, dishwasher detergent, floor strippers, oil soaps, paint removers/strippers, etc. or any products containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride
Avoid products containing oils as they may leave a residue. All products should be rinsed off thoroughly
If the surface comes into contact with any products that might damage it, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Check each cleaning product first on an inconspicuous area to ensure it doesn't damage the surface.

How can I prevent patina?

Do not allow liquids to dry out or remain on your surface for a long time. Always wipe away wet spills, to prevent limescale forming. This is particularly important on dark surfaces, on which a patina may be more visible.
